REWIND
Quantum explores concepts of time and space inspired by quantum physics theories. The challenge for us is to try to produce a new kind of plasticity of movement, expanding the classical idea of reality. Contemporary scientific theories decode our experiences, as we learnt from history, and also influence our perception (Descartes, Galileo, Newton, Einstein - just to name few scientist that change our understanding of reality). By questioning our classical perception of reality, we try to develop new ways of moving.
MOVEMENT TRAINING - We worked on a technique - studying our anatomy and developing instant composition movement (improuving body awareness). We created 8 Movement Tools which can be combined together in different ways. This is what we call Quantum Technique.
MENTAL TRAINING - Studying Quantum Physics theories, like Superstring Theory or M-Theory, we trained our Mind by integrating these different concepts of reality and space and time, in our physical work.
PERFORMANCES
// March - September 2019 - a series of performance will be held in Lo Studio - performing arts centre in Bellinzona during different periods. The current concept provide different collaborations with different dancers into duo, trio, etc ... regularly during Open Doors presentations, and during Performa festival.

ABOUT ME
BIO Filippo Armati completed his Master in Cultural studies in Bologna (2000) and studied dance, and researched for the Swiss national Found of Research (fns.ch), in Laban Centre London (BA 2001-2003). In 2007 he participated to the research project Ex.er.ce in Montpellier, with Mathilde Monnier and Xavier Le Roy and 2008 he has been working in Egypt creating a big cultural event in Cairo supported by Pro Helvetia.
He worked as a free lancer with various choreographer and dance companies (Felix Ruckert, Nir De Volff, Heike Hennig, Obviam Est, Cathy Sharp, Jerome Bell a.o.). Since 2003 he’s doing his creations and touring in different countries. Tc-no (2003) My Life As An Art Piece (2005), Ilegal art (2006), 101 Solos (2007), Music my body (2010), Quantum (2012), In Sale (2013), Quantum II (2014) are some of his most successful projects. He collaborate with various artist and chorographers (Caroline Badouin, Margarita Kennedy, Sarah Waelchli, Deborah Giampani, Francesca Sproccati, Manuela Bernasconi, Lucas Surjia Keist, Francesca Cola and others) creating several projects, performances or side specific works. He has been participating in the Swiss Dance days 2006 and the Swiss Dance days 2013.

In 2011 he create together with the musician and visual artist Tiziano Mincioni LA FONDERIA, a cultural space in Bellinzona, where they organize more than a dozen multidisciplinary events (visual arts, performing arts, music, …) involving more than 80 artists between 2011 and 2013.

In 2010 he found the performing arts Performa festival in the south of Switzerland. In april 2016 was held the sixth edition - www.performa-festival.ch
